About the role

To lead the creative vision and strategic direction of all interior design programmes, ensuring world-class aesthetics, functionality, and innovation aligned with brand identity. The role will define design themes, oversee concept development, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver premium interiors that meet customer expectations and business objectives.

⚡ Lead and participate in interior styling design, including concept development, renderings, and oversight of digital and clay model creation.

⚡ Define and implement styling plans in alignment with corporate styling strategy and forward-looking design concepts.

⚡ Collaborate with and provide guidance to digital modelling teams to ensure accurate and high-quality design execution.

⚡ Utilise display software tools to analyse product styling reports, develop concept ideas, and produce rendering outputs.

⚡ Apply advanced automotive design expertise, demonstrating strong hand-drawing and rendering skills to quickly capture and communicate creative ideas.

⚡ Develop and manage forward-looking styling project plans based on brand strategy objectives, researching future design trends and delivering styling concepts aligned with long-term aspirations.

⚡ Embrace emerging technologies and innovative design methods, such as AI, to enhance creativity and efficiency in design processes.

Foster effective collaboration in cross-cultural environments, ensuring adaptability and strong teamwork across diverse global teams.

Experience to succeed

⚡ Extensive experience in automotive styling design, ideally 15 years (experience within an OEM is preferred; flexibility on years may be considered based on capability).

⚡ Proven track record in interior styling, having contributed to five or more production projects. Experience in creative design for high-end and luxury brands is highly desirable, with a strong grasp of premium design language.

⚡ Demonstrated experience in managing and leading design teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs.

⚡ Sound understanding of component design and engineering constraints, with the ability to balance aesthetics and technical requirements effectively.

⚡ Exceptional sketching and rendering skills, demonstrating creativity and precision.

⚡ Strong communication skills, coupled with adaptability, a proactive approach to learning, and a collaborative mindset.

⚡ Educational background in industrial or transportation design, preferably from a recognised art or design institution.

⚡ Proficiency in Photoshop and other relevant design software tools.
