About the role
As a Master Technician you will be highly skilled automotive technician who has attained a high level of expertise and proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. As an expertise you have completed extensive training and acquired certifications in multiple areas of automotive repair whereby you utilise these skills to ensure highest standard of maintenance on our current products. Main responsibilities include:
⚡ Advanced Technical Knowledge: Expertise in automotive systems and latest diagnostic equipment, covering engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and suspension.
⚡ Diagnosis, Troubleshooting, and Repair: Exceptional skills in diagnosing vehicle issues using specialized tools, performing complex repairs, and ensuring maintenance meets industry standards.
⚡ Leadership and Training: Guiding and mentoring other technicians, promoting skill development, and staying updated with advancements in automotive technology through continuous professional development.
⚡ Customer Interaction and Service: Communicating technical issues clearly to customers, providing accurate estimates, delivering excellent customer service, and conducting detailed vehicle inspections and pre-purchase evaluations.
⚡ Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, handling hazardous materials properly, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and ensuring a safe working environment.
⚡ Quality Control and Efficiency: Performing quality checks on repairs, managing time effectively, optimizing workflow, completing necessary documentation for warranty work, and ensuring a clean and safe work area.
Experience to succeed
⚡ Must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)
⚡ Must have experience within the franchised automotive sector, and demonstrable skill levels as an automotive technician.
⚡ Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
⚡ A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
⚡ Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
⚡ A calm considered approach with exceptional communication skills.
