About the role
The Internal Controls department is being established as an independent team within LEVC UK. It is responsible for ensuring LEVC complies with all statutory reporting obligations in relation to standards and controls as well as responsibility for ensuring compliance with internal governance matters such as Delegation of Authority from Geely Group.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will lead the improvement of all business processes and internal controls within LEVC UK through deployment of a continuous improvement mindset.
The role will provide technical assistance to key stakeholders to analyse and report on key business risk components.
⚡ Be responsible for conducting regular reviews of current internal controls procedures to ensure compliance with DoA, statutory reporting obligations and legal requirements and ultimately ensuring the accounts reflect a true and fair view.
⚡ With regard to FRS102, UK GAAP and Companies Act 2006, ensure that LEVC UK Limited can deliver fully compliant statutory accounts.
⚡ Identification of improvement opportunities within the company's internal control eco-system.
⚡ Working with internal stakeholders to improve internal processes and controls.
⚡ Ownership of process and control framework and methodology, coaching the best practise across the business.
⚡ Making enquiries to fully understand the ERP system (Epicor) and how it can be best utilised to deliver enhanced internal control measures.
Experience to succeed
⚡ Qualified professional accountant (ACA or ACCA).
⚡ Logical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
⚡ Knowledge of laws, regulations and regulatory provisions; including Companies Act 2006, UK GAAP and FRS 102, and UK SOx.
⚡ Able conduct an annual review of the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and explain the outcome in the annual reporting.
⚡ Knowledge of best practice governance, internal control, risk management and compliance.
⚡ Knowledge of ISO9001 would be preferable.
⚡ Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business.
⚡ Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus.
